Registration for summer engineering academies is now open

May 11, 2017

Parents hoping to sneak some educational content into their children’s summer fun have several options thanks to the Summer Engineering Academies offered by Mississippi State’s Bagley College of Engineering.

Bagley’s Office of K-12 Outreach is offering a pair of half-day sessions in Canton, Miss. as well as both half-day and residential options on Mississippi State’s main campus in Starkville, Miss.

“Our engineering academies are a great way for students in any grade to get a taste of engineering through unique, hands-on experiences,” said Dr. Vemitra White, Director of Educational Outreach and Support Programs for the Bagley College of Engineering. “Depending on the session, students will create their own video games, explore concepts in drug delivery methods and nanomaterials, and explore how machines such as motors and catapults work”.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Bagley College of Engineering summer engineering academies.
