Engineering Discovery Day is sponsored by The Mississippi State University Bagley College of Engineering and Chevron C.R.E.A.T.E. This event is for students interested in pursuing an engineering degree. The event will be held at the MSU Starkville Campus on Friday November 3, 2023.
This all-day event is a conference-style event. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for students interested in engineering to learn about the different disciplines offered by the BCoE. Students will be placed into randomized groups and will attend mini informational sessions throughout the day. Lunch will be provided (for attendees only). Guests are not allowed to attend the main event. Information for guests to use to pass their time will be provided.
Students must register individually.
Large school groups are discouraged. Please call 662-325-1360 if you are a teacher interested in bringing a group to this event.
Registration closes September 30, 2023 or when max capacity of 250 participants is reached.
Participants must complete a registration form, $10.00 registration fee, photo release form, and liability waiver. After completing the online registration form, an email will be sent with directions to submit the registration fee and forms.
Agenda Outline (tentative)
- 7:30 - 8:30 arrive and sign in
- 8:30 - 9:15 welcome address
- 9:30 - 2:30 group rotations through each department, exhibit hall, & lunch (chaperones/guests not allowed)
- 2:30 - 3:00 closing address
- 3:00 - 4:00 optional general campus tours
