Sixty engineering freshmen (30 men and 30 women) will be selected each year to participate in an engineering living and learning community. These students will:
- be assigned a mentor who is a sophomore, junior or senior in engineering
- have access to an engineering graduate student TA for academic and career questions have access to tutoring in engineering, math, chemistry and physics classes each week
- be able to participate in monthly programs designed to increase awareness of activities within engineering that are available to enhance your undergraduate experience
- be co-scheduled into the same section of CH 1213 in the fall semester
- be housed together with other learning community students on the second floor of Hull Hall.
What do you have to do to be part of this exciting new opportunity?
You must:
- Apply and be admitted to one of MSU’s ten engineering majors
- Have a math subscore of 24 or better on the ACT
- Complete the application and return it by April 1, 2012 to Living/Learning Community, PO Box 9544, MSU, MS 39762.
