Industrial and Systems Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research focuses on simulation and modeling of natural disasters and evacuation protocols.
Career Interest: I am interested in pursuing a career in education and continuing my research at a university in the future.
Aerospace Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research aims to contribute new findings in the fields of computational fluid dynamics and reduced order modeling.
Career Interest: In the future, I plan to collaborate with other research institutions to further my research on the application of reduced order modeling to transient, non-static fluid dynamics problems.
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research interest lies at the intersection of high voltage, dielectrics, and electromagnetics. Currently, I am investigating shielding strategies to protect electronics against radiated electromagnetic pulse (EMP) events.
Career Interest: In the near term, I plan to pursue a career in research and development either in industry or at a national lab. However, I could also see myself returning to academia and becoming a faculty member in the future.
Computer Science and Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: I have not chosen a research topic yet, but I am currently working with Raspet Flight Lab to design efficient algorithms for autonomous flight under uncertainty. My research entails general studies of autonomous flight and the intricacies of path planning under uncertainty.
Career Interest: Effective instruction is something that I view as one of the most important building blocks in a STEM professional's career. With that being said, I am primarily interested in becoming a professor, and helping the next generation of CS, SE, and AI majors get the knowledge they need.
Biosystems Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research focuses on using spectroscopy and machine learning to predict soil chemical, physical, hydrological, and biological properties. I am especially interested in calibration transfer, explainable AI, and integrating data from different spectrometers, regions, and soil scanning conditions to improve soil health assessment.
Career Interest: I am open to careers in research, academia, or industry, collaborating with government agencies, universities, and industries to advance soil sensing technologies and develop practical tools for sustainable soil assessment and agricultural practices.
Dave C. Swalm School of Chemical Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research investigates how different factors impact reaction kinetics in radiation polymerization systems.
Career Interest: I would like to pursue a career in academia, seeking a role as a professor, allowing me to continue pursuing my research interests while being able to mentor and teach the next generation of chemical engineers.
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research interest is in the intersection of remote sensing and machine learning, with a core focus on precision agriculture. My aim is to develop novel data-driven approaches to predict soil moisture and biomass.
Career Interest: I would love to pursue an academic career in my domain and contribute to research and education. I am passionate about teaching. I aspire to foster innovation through collaborative learning and applied research.
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ph.D.
Research/Academic Interest: My research area is autonomous vehicle technology and robotics. My research aims to develop algorithms for navigation and object detection for autonomous vehicles.
Career Interest: y career goal is to become an academic and contribute to research and education. I want to collaborate with automobile companies and continue developing autonomous vehicle technology, focusing on improving their safety and efficiency.
Computer Science and Engineering, M.S.
Research/Academic Interest: I study how people and technology can work together to make information clearer and more useful. My work combines extended reality and data visualization to turn complex ideas into experiences people can see and interact with, always with a focus on solving real-world problems.
Career Interest: I hope to build a career that blends research, teaching, and mentorship. My goal is to create tools that expand what’s possible with data while helping others find their path in technology and discover the impact they can make.
