Congratulations to Mary C. Emplaincourt, an instructor in mechanical engineering, for receiving Mississippi State’s 2008 Faculty Irvin Atly Jefcoat Excellence in Advising award. This award recognizes the dedication she has shown to academic advising and student success in her 16 years as a faculty member at MSU. As mechanical engineering’s undergraduate program coordinator, she has worked with students and faculty on improving retention, successful transcript evaluation, student orientation, and recruitment. This award was presented to Emplaincourt at the 2008 Faculty Awards and Recognition Reception in the John Grisham Room of Mitchell Memorial Library.
