Starkville, Miss. —The Bagley College of Engineering’s publications and communications office is one of three Mississippi State University units to bring home awards from state organizations this spring.
The BCoE’s annual magazine, Momentum, was named top institutional magazine by the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM). Alumnus, the university’s alumni magazine, and Landmarks, produced by the Office of Agricultural Communications, rounded out the top three, earning MSU a category sweep. Mississippi State also swept the annual report category in which the BCoE’s publication, Dimensions, earned third place.
A T-shirt produced for the college’s homecoming tailgate won first place in CPRAM’s sports artwork category. The shirt, which featured an engineer’s perspective of football, also earned a PRism for organizational identity from the Public Relations Association (PRAM) of Mississippi. A PRism is PRAM’s the highest, competitive award in each category. PRAM awarded Momentum magazine an Award of Excellence in the semi-annual magazine category. MSU’s agricultural communications also earned recognition from PRAM.
CPRAM works to advance the art of communication within the state’s institutions of higher learning, and provide the public with a better understanding and appreciation of member institutions. Community colleges and state governmental agencies also are active participants. For a complete list of MSU’s 2011 CPRAM honors, visit Mississippi State’s newsroom.
PRAM consists of approximately 600 public relations professionals from advertising and public relations agencies, corporations, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and education institutions.
