Two Mississippi State center administrators have improved their status as industry development leaders.
Joe Jordan, Industrial Outreach Service director, and Robert Sheely, Center for Advance Vehicular Systems Extension business systems and information technology manager, have become Fellows of the Mississippi Technology Alliance (MTA) Venture Coaching Academy (VCA).
Both completed the academy’s one-of-a-kind curriculum, which addresses the business development needs of high-growth companies. Graduates of the Venture Coaching Academy know how to quantitatively assess entrepreneur and venture readiness, identify and reduce risk for investors and founders, and increase qualified deal flow in their region.
The program is led by MTA President Randy Goldsmith, CEO Tony Jeff, and other MTA staff.
“The graduates of the Venture Coaching Academy provide a valuable resource to entrepreneurs and investors,” Goldsmith said. “We look forward to working with them to identify and nurture high-growth enterprises in their local communities.”
Past graduates and Fellows include high-performance entrepreneurs, university-based incubator and technology park directors, and experienced managers at general purpose incubators serving innovation-based companies.
