What: Electrical and Computer Engineering Senior Design Open House
When: April 24 from 2 – 5 p.m.
Where: Simrall Electrical Engineering Building on the campus of Mississippi State University

Electrical and computer engineering seniors at Mississippi State will showcase their capstone design projects at an open house Thursday, April 24. The public event begins at 2 p.m. in Simrall Hall and will last until 5 p.m. that evening.

The open house gives seniors a change to demonstrate their engineering skills with their one-of-a-kind creations that have been developed this year.

Fourteen teams will have their designs on display including an autonomous lawnmower, a smart thermostat and an aerial home surveillance device. The 2014 IEEE Southeast Conference robotics championship team will also present their sharp-shooting entry at the open house.

Each design team consists of four to six seniors in electrical and computer engineering majors and a faculty adviser.
