What: Mississippi Region V Science and Engineering Fair
When: Tuesday, February 23, 2016; from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Where: Humphrey Coliseum at Mississippi State University
Mississippi State University will host the Mississippi Region V Science and Engineering Fair, featuring submissions from over 400 students in grades 6-12.
Over 400 projects are expected, submitted by students from 16 Mississippi counties. Highlights from this year’s fair include the following projects: Antibiotic Cocktail and Its Effect on Streptococcus Mutans, Blue Energy, and Pan-Cancer Transcriptomic Network Analysis.
Awards will be given to the top three submissions in each class for each of the ten categories, as well as Best of Fair finalists. Winners will advance to the state level competition at the University of Mississippi in late spring.
