STARKVILLE, Miss.—Five industrial and systems engineering seniors have been named to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Hall of Fame.
Occurring once a year, this prestigious award recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering graduating seniors and celebrates their dedication to service, research and excellence within industrial and systems engineering.
"I'm very proud of this year's Hall of Fame inductees," Department Head Mohammad Marufuzzaman said. "These students represent some of the very best in our academic community. Their enthusiasm for learning and commitment to engineering have earned them a place in our Hall of Fame and set an example for future industrial and systems engineering students."
The ISE Hall of Fame was established to honor students who have demonstrated a holistic commitment to the department and the industrial and systems engineering field.
"We wanted to create an award that embodies a comprehensive view of a student's contributions, not just excellence in one area," Jenna Johnson, assistant teaching professor, co-undergraduate coordinator, and chair of this year’s ISE Hall of Fame committee, said. "These inductees have made significant marks on our department and the discipline through their service, research and leadership.
To be eligible for the ISE Hall of Fame, students must graduate in May, August, or December of that year and submit an application that includes a current resume and detailed responses summarizing their honors, academic distinctions, service to the industrial and systems engineering department, leadership experiences, and any experiential learning components.
