Two outstanding engineering seniors recognized for high levels of achievement by the Society of Scholars

April 3, 2007

Seniors James Moore, computer science, and Brandon Witbeck, mechanical engineering, were honored in an induction ceremony into the Society of Scholars on April 3rd. The society is celebrating its 25th year, its the highest honor offered to MSU undergraduates. Of approximately 2,700 undergraduate degree candidates each year, only about 40-50 qualify for the Society of Scholars based on their academic achievements. The society requires that students demonstrate the highest levels of academic excellence and also possess a broad and rigorous exposure to courses in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
