Congratulations to our 2026 Distinguished Fellows!
Over the last few days, we have highlighted each new Fellow.

Stephanie Franks Roveda

After graduating from MSU with a degree in chemical engineering, Stephanie joined Chevron at the Pascagoula, MS, refinery as a process engineer. She enjoyed 32+ years with Chevron and elected to retire recently to pursue new opportunities.

Stephanie spent the first part of her career guiding and troubleshooting processing conditions of operating units, supporting turnarounds, projects, hurricanes & storms and eventually led operations coordination and daily planning & economics for Chevron’s large, complex, integrated refineries in Pascagoula, MS and Richmond, CA.

Building on her Manufacturing experience, she held roles of increasing responsibility in Downstream, Midstream, Upstream and Corporate teams. In her last role, Stephanie was Director, Global Value Chain Strategy accountable for development and activation of Chevron’s go-to-market strategies for oil, gas and natural gas liquids. Additionally, she stewarded value chain excellence across Chevron inclusive of price performance, competitive benchmarking and sustaining organizational capability.

Prior roles include General Manager Market & Price Forecasting, General Manager Manufacturing & Petrochemical Strategy, Regional Manager Americas Gasoline, Carbon & Biofuels Trading, Manager West Coast and U.S. East Value Chain Optimization, Manager Ops Coordination Richmond Refinery and Pascagoula Refinery.

Stephanie has represented Chevron with the Federal Trade Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, California Energy Commission and California Attorney General’s office. She is a member of Leadership California and a founding member of the Women’s Energy Network California Chapter.

She is married to John Roveda and raising 2 boys in the San Francisco Bay Area. She enjoys sports photography, travel and energy markets.

Stephanie remains active with Delta Gamma Fraternity. In 2023, she received the Cable Award recognizing loyalty and devotion far beyond normal participation. She is a member of 100+ Women Who Care, focused on empowering local communities.
