BCoE faculty member dually recognized by national engineering society

Gude ASEE award 2016STARKVILLE, Miss. – A Bagley civil and environmental engineering faculty member received recognition from a national engineering society, in the form of both an award and a role within the organization.

Veera Gnaneswar Gude was awarded the Early Career Award by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) during a national conference in June.

Gude was also elected as treasurer to the six-member committee of ASEE’s Environmental Engineering division.

In his four years with MSU’s Bagley College of Engineering, the assistant professor has received campus and national recognition and accolades for work with wastewater treatments, microbial desalination and biofuels.

Founded in 1893, the American Society for Engineering Education seeks to promote excellence in engineering education across the full spectrum of engineering fields. The southeastern section holds yearly conferences to discuss the problems and opportunities faced in engineering education.
