Non-Exempt Administrative Staff Award

Each year, one outstanding Non-Exempt Administrative Staff member will be recognized by the Bagley College of Engineering. The recipient will receive a plaque of recognition along with a check for $1,000.00. The award winner must have been employed by the University for a minimum of three years and must work at least on a half-time basis.

Nomination Criteria

As a current Bagley College of Engineering employee, the Non-Exempt Administrative Staff member:

  1. Exemplifies professionalism and dedication to the Bagley College of Engineering by performing beyond the call of duty to improve the service, quality, and image of their office.
  2. Serves as a positive role model for other staff members.
  3. Demonstrates outstanding accomplishments of significance based on initiative, cooperation, and the ability to successfully perform a job.
  4. Demonstrates a high degree of competence and expertise.
  5. Works beyond the boundaries of their job by participating in MSU campus activities or community service projects.

Nomination Process

  1. Nominations for the administrative staff awards will be accepted from any college faculty or staff member.
  2. Nominator must complete a Nominee Information Form and attach to the form three completed Recommendation Forms (pages 2-3 of the nomination packet Word doc). One of the three completed recommendation forms must be from the nominator.
  3. The deadline for submitting nomination packets is February 15. Nomination packets should be submitted via email to Brenda Grebner at
