Josie Guerry began working as the Bagley College's manager of graduate and distance education in November of 2016. In this role she helps to oversee the distance and graduate programs.
Josie completed her undergraduate degree at MSU in Industrial Engineering and then spent some time working in manufacturing. She earned her master’s in higher education administration from Mississippi College when she came to the realization that she wanted to return to academia. Josie previously worked in MSU’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department as the undergraduate coordinator and advisor.
As a fourth generation bulldog, Josie has been a Mississippi State fan since the day she was born. Josie’s husband, Scott, and two children join her in cheering on her MSU bulldogs!
Tamra Swann began working as the Bagley College’s distance education coordinator in 2014. Her responsibilities are to assist with the facilitation and coordination of the college’s distance education programs and recruit distance education students. She works with students, faculty, technology services and other offices on campus on various BCoE graduate and distance projects.
Having worked in offices at Mississippi State since 2003, Swann says that she enjoys working with students who are returning to college.
Swann earned a bachelor’s in public relations and a master’s in agriculture and extension education from Mississippi State. She completed the New and Aspiring Leaders Professional Development program through the University Professional and Continuing Education Association and the Learning Resources Network program planner certificate program. She also completed the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning.
Brantley Barksdale began working as a Computer Support Specialist for the BCoE in the summer of 2021. He serves as IT support for the Distance Learning program. He earned his B.A. from Mississippi State University in 2020. While attending MSU, he worked as an ITS student worker for CFR/FWRC.
