Letter from the Dean: March 2023

March 3, 2023

Dear Faculty, Staff, Students and Friends of the Bagley College of Engineering:

I hope your spring 2023 semester is going well, despite all the rain that we have been receiving recently. It has been a busy but amazing semester for me, and today marks the beginning of my 10th year as dean. I’m pleased to tell you about some of our most recent points of pride in the Bagley College:

  • Abdul Mohamed, a computer engineering alum, was named a recipient of a 2023 Black Engineer of the Year Award at the BEYA (Black Engineer of the Year) STEM Conference.
  • The MSU Alumni Association announced the 2023 class of Reveille 25 honorees, including seven BCoE alumni.
  • For the 21st time in 22 years, the student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers has been named an Outstanding Chapter for the year.
  • Sign up today for a free online information session regarding BCoE’s online programs.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University. If you haven’t visited the college’s website yet, please check it out at bagley.msstate.edu. You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

Finally, if you have any ideas for stories, please let me know at keith@bagley.msstate.edu.

Thank you for all you do, and Hail State!
